Caring Committee

Shut-ins, the ill and recently bereaved are ministered to through personal visits, phone calls, cards, flowers and food when needed as well as other specific acts of benevolence as requested by the Pastorate.  During 2004 over 1100 contacts were made and over 800 cards and notes were mailed. 

YAWKS (Young Adults with Kids)

Family activities are the focus of this newer group in the church.  Check Upcoming Events to see what’s going on.  Contact Susanne’ Gibbs or the church office if you are interested in learning more about this group. 

Alpha

Alpha is for anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith.  Adults of all ages are welcome.  Alpha is for everyone.  It is especially for:

• People interested in investigating Christianity
• Newcomers to the church
• New Christians
• Couples preparing for marriage
• Christians who want to brush up on the basics

Scouting

First Presbyterian Church supports a Boy Scout Troop and a Cub Scout Pack by providing a place for meetings, as well as financial assistance for their programs.
