Preschool/Kindergarten Sunday School
“The Promise Patch”
Ages 3, 4, 5

Through Bible stories, artistic expression, and play, this group celebrates the love of Jesus and the joy Christians find when together.  The curriculum used is “We Believe.”  Extended care is available during the worship hours for children through kindergarten age.

Teachers/Coordinators:  Catherine  and Alan Morrison
Location:  Room 109

Agape Village
Agape Village, FPC’s Sunday School program for 1st through 5th grades, follows the Workshop Rotation Model. (www.rotation.org

Our goal is to fully engage and excite the children as they explore key Bible stories and truths that reveal God’s will and unconditional love. Rotations (units of study) last 5-6 weeks, allowing the children time to explore, process, and apply the concepts in different ways and on different levels.  Our “Weavers” (1st and 2nd graders) and “Carpenters” (3rd,4th, and 5th graders) arrive at the “Courtyard” each week for a brief opening time, where they sing,  share, and anxiously await the announcement of their workshop destination.

9:30 am each Sunday on the 3rd level of Educational Wing

Youth
Our youth are currently using the Claim the Life curriculum published by Abingdon Youth.
Claim the Life builds on the major themes of the Christian faith: Journey, Word, Faith – for younger youth – and Promise, Story, and Call – for older youth.  Within each theme, the six-year plan focuses on one word (or phrase) to give youth (and leaders) a strong vocabulary of faith.  This way, the words they hear in church make sense to them.  Learn more at claimthelife.com.
