Adult Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults, college, and high school students. This Choir sings at the Sunday Morning “Traditional Service” each Sunday of the year. We attempt to do a lot of musical styles. Most of these take the form of “anthems,” both traditional and contemporary. We meet at 7:00 PM on Wednesday night all year long. And we also meet between Sunday School and Church at 10:30 AM on Sunday morning.
Most Sundays we have instrumental accompaniment along with the organ –either strings, brass, or woodwinds. However, we do some a cappella music as well. We have several Sundays out of the year when we have full orchestra along with the Choir. Those are usually Easter, the Sunday before July Fourth, the last Sunday in September, and the second Sunday in December.
You do not have to read music or be a professional singer to be in the Sanctuary Choir. Some members do read music but many of the members do not. The Sanctuary Choir is made up of men and women who love the Lord, each other, and music.
We know that everyone cannot be there for every rehearsal or every Sunday. We all do the best we can in that regard. We invite you to join us this week! Just show up at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening or contact Dale Capehart first if you are more comfortable with that. Either way we would love to have you join the Sanctuary Choir.
